Creating quality 3D printable terrain for tabletop wargames
Yetser Terrain is dedicated to creating good quality modular terrain for 28mm tabletop wargames. Designed to be as flexible as possible, the Yetser Terrain connection system gives you the ability to create building layouts such as rooms and corridors, as well as enclosed buildings and bunkers. This makes the terrain usable in many popular tabletop wargames, including Warhammer 40K, Kill Team, Necromunda, and Space Hulk.
Yetser Terrain is a small, home-based 3D print design company, run by me, Giles. Having grown up playing Roleplaying games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Shadowrun, as well as board and tabletop games, modelling and painting scenery and terrain for the games has always been something I loved. Used to building scenery and terrain using cardboard, foamboard and ice-lolly sticks, being able to transition to digital designs has been an exciting journey.
The desire to play one of my favourite games of all time, Space Hulk, with physical corridors for the miniatures to be placed in inspired me to create the Yetser Terrain connection system. I wanted players to be able to create the interior of the Hulk with different levels, winding corridors and rooms of different shapes and sizes, each presenting different tactical challenges.
Long-term I am looking to expand my range of terrain to include many more terrain pieces and designs and I am constantly tweaking and refining my pieces to provide the best possible results.
The meaning of Yetser
Yetser is the ancient Hebrew word יֵצֶר – pronounced yay’-tser – which according to Biblical Concordances is defined as meaning:
A form, framing, purpose, framework
An additional usage of the word in some Biblical translations is “imagination”. The definitions of this word fit so nicely with the purpose of the Yetser Terrain connection system, the framework with which to imagine and then build the frame for tabletop terrain, that it was adopted early on as the ideal name for the company.
