Topic 6: Swinging Doors
The swinging Doors are printed as three pieces; the Wall, which acts as the frame, the door itself and a “door step”.
The Wall has a small hole in the top of the door frame, and two (2) slots in the bottom of the Wall, which takes the extensions on the door step.
The door step has a small hole in the top.
The door piece has two small extrusions on either end, which fit into the holes in both the Wall and door step pieces.
To assemble the Door, please slide the extrusions on the top of the door piece into the small hole in the Wall tile. Do not use glue if you want your door to be able to open.
Whilst holding the door in place, fit the door step into the slots in the bottom of the Wall, making sure that the hole in the top of the door step aligns with the extrusion on the bottom of the door.
The door step should fit quite snugly, so glue should not be needed to hold the pieces together. However, if you know that you would like to keep the door in one piece going forward, you are welcome to glue the door step in place by putting a small amount of modelling glue into each of the slots before sliding the door step into the Wall.
