Topic 4: Set-up

There are two ways of beginning the construction of your building, room or corridor.

The first method is to place your Connectors down as a frame, creating the layout you wish the structure to have.

Once you have done this, place the Pillars within the frame which creates the vertical element of your terrain piece.

If you are creating a room or an area where there are no Pillars, fill the gap between the Connectors with a Cap.

When the Pillars are all in place, slide the Floor tiles into the frame and then slot your Walls into place.

When the Pillars are all in place, slide the Floor tiles into the frame and then slot your Walls into place.

The second method is very similar to the first, but can sometimes be easier to help you visualise the layout of your terrain.
Here, rather than starting with the Connectors, plan out your terrain layout using the Floor tiles first. Once you have the floor layout in place, place the Connectors between the Floor tiles to form the frame, and then add your Pillars and walls.

This method can take a little bit longer, as you end up having to shift the Floor tiles to get the Connectors in place, but we have found it helpful when you are trying to create an interesting corridor system, as it helps you see which size of Connector you will need where.
